PASTORALE SIBASTARRAK 2023 ORDIARP / URDIÑARBE
On Sunday, July 30, 2023, the first summer performance of the Sibastarrak pastoral took place. 80 actors performed the story of siblings Madeleine and Jean de Jauréguiberry.
The pastoral is a form of theatre, heir to the "mysteries" of the Middle Ages which were played throughout Europe, mainly on the forecourt of the church.
This show where there are songs, dances and narration is performed in Basque. Each year, a village in Soule (Basque Country) mobilizes to organize it.
