A landless shepherd and owner of a herd of manex red head in Moncayole, Francis Poineau arrived in Soule a long time ago. A conscientious objector in the movement initiated by Jean Pitrau in the 1970s, ASAM, his social commitment naturally pushed him towards union responsibilities. Today Co-President of the Basque Country Alternative Chamber of Agriculture EHLG (Euskal Herriko Laborantza Ganbara), Francis Poineau is a militant with a big heart, a man of convictions, a committed shepherd, a humanist, an idealist who has the Feet on earth. We found it on the heights of Larrau, in its cayolar of Ardakotxia overlooking the gorges of Holzarte. In this grand setting, accompanied by his children Anita and Peio, Francis Poineau makes us discover his daily life and his passions while waiting for his wife Dani.
