In the area of Kumar Tuli, men belonging to a caste ancestral produce throughout the year, thousands of statues of land to be used in celebrations of various deities like Durga, Sarasvati or Kali the goddess of Calcutta. Most of these statues after being formed and they worshiped, will be submerged in the river Brahmaputra or Ganges. Thousands of statues ship in Indian communities of the diaspora.
